MCC Global Business Committee

Global Business Committee
Mission Statement

The Global Business Committee's mission is to enhance, support and promote business development opportunities and growth in the global business arena. With our various seminars, workshops, global exchange programs as well as international networking events within a diverse community we provide a comprehensive ongoing structure to develop business relationships both globally and nationally.

Global Business Committee
Committee History

Previously known as the International Committee, the committee was renamed in late 2007 to the Global Business Committee (GBC) to focus on the needs of businesses interested in building global relationships, rather than those already conducting international business. The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (MCC) recognized that the core membership was smaller to mid-size businesses that required a support structure to encourage networking and business development in the global environment. The committee was re-branded in late 2008 to reflect the changing needs of the members and to align itself with other MCC initiatives.

With the creation of the MCC Global Business Director position, the committee gained an important partner for outreach to various government agencies and other associated organizations. The committee became one of the vehicles for supporting and executing the various activities on which the Global Business Director is working.

Because of the strength of the membership and so much overlap in industry globalization, the GBC often works in conjunction with other MCC committees and partner organizations to plan and execute events, educational seminars and fun networking events for members. We believe in empowering the membership to achieve their goals.

The Global Business Committee is comprised of Chamber members in a variety of businesses and industries. All are serious about building lasting and beneficial relationships that enhance opportunities and ultimately revenue. Below you will find a list of core committee members who can tell you more about the committee and its events.
