This two-hour session will review the entry process. It will cover the right to make entry; entry by nonresident importer; liability for duties; types of entries; formal and informal consumption entries; Automated Manifest System; contents of invoices; consequences of late filing of entries; merchandise processing fees and harbor maintenance fees; recall of merchandise released from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) custody; and bond and surety requirements.

DIANE L. WEINBERG received her law degree from Emory University Law School. After law school she served as an attorney at Customs Headquarters in Washington, DC.
